Frequently Asked Questions

  • Individual session rates start at $160 per hour. Couples session rates start at $180 per hour. 90 minute sessions are available for individual and couples therapy, at an increased rate.

  • Services provided by a social worker are commonly accepted by most insurance companies, however, we do not direct bill insurance companies. Clients will pay for sessions by credit card and are responsible for submitting any receipts issued by NLT for services rendered to their own insurance provider for reimbursement.

  • We have limited availability for sliding scale fee sessions and these sessions are at the discretion of the therapist. Book a free 15-minute consultation to learn more.

If there are no sliding scale sessions available, you can request to be added to the sliding scale waitlist.

  • Sessions are paid for by credit card, using Jane Payments, a secure payment platform built into our practice management software. Jane Payments is supported by Stripe payment processing.

When creating your account, you will be prompted to enter your credit card information, which your therapist will use to bill at the end of each session. Therapists are unable to see the full credit card number at any time, and those credentials are managed by Stripe Payments.

We accept VISA, VISA Debit, Mastercard

  • We require a minimum of 24 hours notice for cancelling or rescheduling an appointment. Cancellations, reschedules or no-show appointments that occur under 24 hours before the scheduled appointment will be billed at the full session fee. This policy exists as client’s session times are reserved specifically and less than 24 hours notice leaves a hole in your therapist’s day.

Please note clients are fully responsible for cancelling or rescheduling their appointments. Clients cannot email their therapist to cancel or reschedule their appointment. All adjustments need to be made in their client account.

If a client needs to cancel with less than 24 hour notice or no-shows to their scheduled appointment for a valid reason, it is at the therapist’s discretion whether or not the session will be billed for.

  • Most clients begin to notice some positive changes after a few sessions with a therapist. However, there is no way to estimate how many sessions it will take to meet your goals or feel like things are improving for you. This is because client progress depends on many factors including relationship with your therapist, feeling comfortable enough to share thoughts and feelings, readiness and willingness for change, and practicing skills.
